From First to Last: Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has A Body Count

Sound — 10
These guys are great. Really fast guitars and drums, very high-energy and catchy. Some songs are heavy, some soft, and they pull it off very nicely. They're not one of those bands who can only do one style of music good. They even brought in a bit of rap for the hidden track "Dead Baby Kickball." There are two acoustic songs on the disc that are both wonderful.

The lyrics are excellent. My favorite lyrics were the ones from "Kiss Me, I'm Contagious" about a western outlaw. There are multilple layers of vocals in all the songs which works out well. A lot of screaming bands bug me, but the screaming vocals on this CD are great. I thought it was funny how in the credits they put "throat" instead of "vocals."

Overall Impression — 10
This band is unlike anything I've heard before. I may be missing some other band like it, I don't know. There's an excellent mix of heavy, punk, alternative, and hardcore all in one. If it were stolen or lost, it wouldn't matter because I've already bought three copies of it.
