Godhead: Evolver

Sound — 10
Godhead's sound on Evolver, as compared to their other albums, such as 2000 Years Of Human Error shows that they have become much more mature (musically speaking) in terms of ability and sound. The songs are more melodic and incorperate much more feeling and emotion. When I first heard the album, I was suprised. The amount of talent they display is beyond anything I have ever heard. Their sound is original and captivating.

Lyrics — 10
The way Godhead ties their lyrics in with the musical sound is amazing. The relationship between the lyrics and sound contributes so much to the album's success. The lyrics are beautifully written, as they show so much emotion. The leader singer, Jason Miller has an amazing voice. His talents are so much more evident on Evolver than any other of Godhead's projects.

Overall Impression — 10
Compared to Godheads other albums (2000 Years Of Human Error, Powertool Stigmata, and Nothingness), which are all amazing, Evolver deffinately comes out on top. Godhead has such a unique sound that is under appreciated. Deffinately a cult band, I would say. Either you like the sound or you don't. And if you do, you will find yourself listening to this CD on repeat for the rest of your life.
