Greatest Hits starts daft and decends into silliness at a rate of knots, but is never less than catchy and shows a depth of construction and ingenuity that mere parody couldn't hope to achieve.

Sound: Background for rap music is never great. Got some funny talking bits and stuff. It's basically some welsh guys mainly rapping about weed and rapping. Not like other rap of today. Kindof like house of pain (if anyone knows them) only not irish, and funnier. Definately not supposed to be taken seriously! Background is not really instrumental - although there is a clarinet or cor anglais or something in one of the songs. // 4

Lyrics: Ah the lyrics of the glc are incredibly poetic. With Dylan-esque lyrics such as 'I'm C3P0 But With Pubes And Hair,' (talking about one of their stoned mates who thinks hes a robot!) Cant beat the Welsh accent for a rap group! Better than most rap out there because it isnt supposed to be taken seriously. Have a listen to the lyrics, ok admittedly not a work of genius but you will piss yourself laughing. // 10

Overall Impression: The GLC for those that dont know are a Welsh rap group of (wannabe) townies. Always wearing argos jewellery and shellsuits. Only album theyve released I think. Highlights from teh album are 'Soapbar' (about smoking solid cause it's cheaper), 'Self Suicide' (about comitting suicide to become famous ala Hendrix, Cobain) and 'Half Man Half Machine.' They've released 'Guns Don't Kill People' which is not nearly their best song (all their lyrics have been watered down for the charts + radio) and 'Your Mothers Got A Penis' which is a great song - again check out the uncut version. It's a great comedy album, not so good if you are looking for intelligent lyrics or beautiful music. Would buy the album again if I lost it I reckon - just for its comedy value. // 8
