Green Day: Dookie

Sound — 10
This is Green Day's first album on a major label, and they wanted it to sound like their first two. I think they succeeded. They redo the song, "Welcome To Paradise" and this time it sounds a lot better. Everything about it is awesome.

Lyrics — 10
Billie Joe's voice is really distinctive, and I think it's the coolest singing voice compared to many other singers nowadays. The lyrics fit the music perfectly and have a lot of meaning.

Overall Impression — 10
This album has to be my favorite from the '90s. I can't name any highlight tracks because I like every single song. One of my favorite things about this CD is Mike's bass and how he just jumps around on it, and he doesn't really do that anymore on their recent albums. I would buy this again twice if it were stolen or lost, it's that good.
