Green Day: Dookie

Sound — 7
Green Day have been around for ages, and have recently come back with their American Idiot CD. The album, Dookie, is a classic example of their work. Green Day's sound is punk/pop. The sound seems to be missing something, as if there is a hole where another instrument should be, but that is my personal opinion because I am more into the "fuller" sound of Smashing Pumpkins and Metallica.

Lyrics — 7
The lyrics of this album are standard; they do not stand out as amazing, but they aren't terrible either. Billie Joe is a reasonably good singer; his voice is strong.

Overall Impression — 8
My favourite songs off Dookie are 'When I Come Around' and 'FOD' If it was stolen or lost, I would buy it again, because, even though it's not a favourite album of mine, there are some songs on it that I paticularly like. It's worth having in your CD collection.
