Sound — 6
The guitar and effects of this album were quite good half way thru it. Some tracks I could really see the heavy metal sound but in others it just plain sucked. It was just repetitve and sounded as if it took no skill to make and isn't catchy like on track no. 2.

The lyrics were better than the sound. I was expessially fond of night trains lyrics. I think they actually took time to think about and i am now a bigger fan of Axl Rose. The lyrics definitely fit the tunes of the song and for that I am greatful.

Overall Impression — 8
This album has been rated retty highly by rolling stone and other magazines so I thought id give it a try. My fav tracks were Welcome to the jungle, Sweet Child O Mine, and Night Train. I loved the guitar distortion on all those songs but the rest of them were just not as impressive as I had thought. I think it is a cd to buy if your a heavy metal fan and if you like this album I suggest buying back in black by AC/DC.
