Sound — 9
Horse The Band are an experimental post-hardcore/metalcore band from lake forest califonia, although there sound is a million miles away from there place of origin. The band has been labeled a "nintendocore band" as the sound of keyboards and there are references in the lyrics to nintendo charecters and themes. "The mechanical hand" offers a deeper and stronger sound than there last studio offering.

The album starts with an audio clip from the animated film The Hobbit, and blasts into the first track "Birdo" which is just as good as the name is, and the lyrics. Absolute genius, this will give you an idea of what to expect lyricaly from this band, which is anything.
Overall Impression — 9
The only downfall is that some of the songs have the keyboards overpower the guitars and in some way this is the sound that the band is aiming for, but it makes the song sound "cheesey" rather than different. However this is a must have album for any metalcore/scene music fan for the simple fact that out of a handfull of bands that are making good "nintendocore" they are by far the best. Go out and purchase this album now if you want to have your ears blown away.
