ISIS: The Red Sea

Sound — 7
This album is so jam packed with riffs, density and a sense of doom metal/groove that is will just make your brain melt. This is also the album that ISIS used to give to label's to try to get signed. But there demo usualy consisted of track 4 to 7.this album is the first to have the female and ocean theme in one of isis's albums. Aarons vocals are soooo brutal its ridiculous, plus the heavy distorted guitars and effects make this Chris Mereschuk last album one to remember.

Like i said above it is the first of isis's albums to have the female and ocean themes. the lyrics in this album are so dense it makes you feel claustorphobic!!! I also love the clips of audio used in the 2nd and 3rd song, it give a sense of belonging to the title. Aaron's vocals are not comparable to the future album's that were yet to be released, but is still an admirable proformance by Aaron

Overall Impression — 7
Like i said this album does not compare to the future releases but afther they changed from Chris Mereschuk to Bryant Clifford Meyer the whole band went in a different fav's on this album must be The minus time, Red sea, smiles and handshakes, orchard and line across eyes.if it were lost or stolen i whould not go buy it again maybe ripp it from one of my friends tho.
