Jack Johnson: A Weekend At The Greek [DVD]

I saw Jack when he visited Toronto on the In Between Dreams tour and this DVD sounds the exact same. All of his songs sound so much better with Zack Gill on the piano. Other than a few parts where the crowd drowns out the band the sound is great.

A Weekend At The Greek may be the best concert DVD out there. It includes all the favourites but with the piano there is so much more depth to the songs. It also includes performances by the opening bands, ALO and Matt Costa, who are both great. Also, it comes with a DVD from the On And On Tour in Japan, which also features a making of In Between Dreams featurette. Tracklist is as follows: DVD #1: 01. In Between Dreams Medley 02. Never Know 03. Taylor 04. Sitting Waiting Wishing 05. Flake 06. Breakdown 07. Bubble Toes 08. Staple It Together 09. If I Could 10. Rodeo Clowns 11. Mudfootball (for Moe Lerner) 12. Fall Line 13. The production quality is excellent. Everyone who worked on this DVD obviously put in 110%. One of the most interesting parts are when they cut from the concert to Jack explaining how he wrote the song.

Overall Impression — 10
This is one of the best concert DVD's of all time. Jack just sounds so much better live. The highlights are Jack singing Sitting, Waiting, Wishing backwards or when Zack Gill and Money Mark have a piano/melodophone duel during Staple it Together. I would definitely buy it again if it was stolen.
