Sound: The sound is a really classic 60's sound-perfect if you like listening to stuff like jimi hendrix. There's songs from all the bands that janis used to be in-all the classics. Janis' voice is damn amazing-she has a great range-with a sort of sandy-rusty voice. The guitars and drums that go with it is great. It's good music to listen to when you're lying in bed. You can sense every emotion janis' was feeling with just her voice. // 10

Lyrics: Pretty much all the songs are love songs with Janis' singing about how to treat a woman and her old love interests. This is probably the record to buy if your're a pretty sappy, yet tough girl who's in love or wants to be in love. With the lyrics combined with Janis' voice there's a great mixture that creates great music. Allthough the lyrics are pretty decent, I's be nice to see a little variety of subjects to sing about. // 8

Overall Impression: Pretty much all the songs are decent-some more than others. I love that this record captures everything that's known about Janis from songs of her earlier days to the songs that came later. It shows why Janis is a legend even though her death in the 70's cut her career short. If it were stolen I might just buy it again. // 8
