Jimmy Eat World: Bleed American

Sound — 8
Jimmy Eat World has an emo sound. Bleed American is half hard and half soft. Jim Adkins is a pretty good guitar player. I loved the solos on The Middle and Bleed American. I also loved some of the acoustic stuff he did on some of the songs like Your House and Cautioners. Overall I found the sound to be good.

The lyrics are pretty good. They kinda get stuck in your head for awhile. For example I always get sweetness stuck in my head. Jim Adkins is a pretty good singer. Though his voice tends to get whiny sometimes. I like the girl singer's vocals in Hear You Me and Cautioners.

Overall Impression — 10
Overalll Jimmy Eat World's Bleed American is a great albulm. It's mix of acoustic and electric rock may turn off some people. The sound is good. The lyrics are good. Hell even Jim Adkins sounds good. If you're an emo kid you might like this cd. Bleed American is Jimmy Eat World's best cd so far.
