Kalmah: Swamplord

Sound — 8
The instrument sound to this CD is pretty good. The lead guitar player, Antti Kokko is very good and I like his stlye. The drums and bass are pretty good too. The keyboard is awsome. The only problem I had was sometimes all the instuments overpower the lyrics so you can barley hear them.

The singer or screamer or whatever you want to call it is named Pekka Jokko. I personally like his style. The only thing I found bad about it was that sometimes he is overpowered by all the instruments.

Overall Impression — 9
Personally my favorite band is Children Of Bodom and Kalmah has many simalarities to them so I like them. I personally think that Kalmah uses there keyboard more and its not always the same effect as Children Of Bodom. Also, Kalmah is not as heavy as Children Of Bodom's new stuff so I would compare Kalmah to Children Of Bodom's older stuff. If your into Children Of Bodom I would definatly recommend picking up this CD.
