Korn: See You On The Other Side

Sound — 8
The sound of this album is nothing compared to the sound of the other 6. Ever since head left to go worship jesus or whatever the hell he does, it didnt sound the same. Don't get me wrong I have always love Korn and there new styles and expirementing. This album has a very indusrial sound to it, but it sounds very good. The guitar riffs are much different but still kick ass for only one regular guitar player. There is no way the can have the same sound without head, but they can still have a unique sound to them. The way Davis sings still resembles all there other 6 CDs. The singing is pure and classic like it always has been. The one thing that bothered me about the sound was the crazy unique sound that fieldy had on the bass, that was like no other, but you do not here it that much on this album.

Lyrics — 7
The lyrics are still kinda dark in a way but they also have changed very much. It just doesnt seem that John still has the hate in him and wants to let it out. It seems like he is more about personal feelings like the self titled album. The singins is still almost the same, so if anything changed it would be the type of lyrics he uses. Don't be judged by Twisted Transistor, 'cause the lyrics in that song and the singing suck. But that is nothing compared to the following 13 tracks.

Overall Impression — 9
This album cannot be compared to any other album because all 7 of them are unique. But two kick ass songs on this album are liar and hypocrites. I think that they should of waited and found a new permanent guitarist for the band instead of hurrying and getting it over with. But this CD is worth buying, and its not if you are expecting the same old KoRn. Korn has changed over the years just like everybody else and people are just gonna have to get used to it.
