A great sound and feel. The guitar tone sounds closer to Metallica's Black Album than anything I've heard. Christina Scabbia has an incredable voice and her male counterpart keeps her voice from flying away by giving it a bottom end. The drums are nice and solid, providing a more than adequate rythem. The bass is felt rather than heard, giving the guitar riffs an extra punch. The only complaint is that in a few songs, the guitarists revert to a tone that a lot of metalcore bands are using. It doesn't suit the album very well.

Imagine, if you can, goth-metal love songs. This is the basic content of the lyrics. But, if you're like me and see vocals as a separate instrument, then this really doesn't come into play as much. Again, and I can't stress this enough, the vocal's delivery is amazing.

I don't consider this album as good as Comalies. That being said, it is still a very, very good album. The most striking songs would have to be they're recent single, "Our Truth" and "Devoted." "Our Truth" is classic Lacuna Coil, while "Devoted" is a bit of a departure. If stolen or lost, I would have to say that instead of buying it, I would find someone with a copy and have them burn it for me.
