Sound: The sound on Pronounced is definitely Lynyrd Skynyrd at their best. There is a very impressive variety of sounds on this album from the "three guitar army" to the heartfelt words sung by Ronnie Van Zant. From the hard-rocking Free Bird to the bluesy Thing's Goin' On, there is not one song on this album that isn't great. // 10

Lyrics: The lyrics on Pronounced are very real. Whether the song is about a rowdy bar fight or a mother giving advice to her son, Ronnie Van Zant always had a way of capturing the real essence and feeling of the song. Many of the lyrics are heartfelt and down-to-earth such as Simple Man or Free Bird. Many others may contain a powerful message such as Poison Whiskey or Thing's Goin' On. Whatever the song may be, the words appeal to a great variety of people, including myself. // 10

Overall Impression: Pronounced is no doubt one of, if not the most successful album of Lynyrd Skynyrd's career. Every song stands out in it's own way and there is not one song that does not belong on this album. Two songs that are a crowd favorite are the hard-rocking Free Bird and the honkytonk Gimme Three Steps. Pronounced is definitely a must-have for any hardcore Skynyrd fan. If this album were stolen, I would without any doubts or second thoughts go buy another one as soon as I possibly can. // 10

Sound: Tracks: 01. I Ain't The One 02. Tuesday's Gone 03. Gimme Three Steps 04. Simple Man 05. Things Goin' On 06. Mississippi Kid 07. Poison Whiskey 08. Free Bird *Bonus Tracks* 09. Mr. Banker (Demo) 10. Down South Jukin' (Demo) 11. Tuesday's Gone (Demo) 12. Gimme Three Steps (Demo) 13. Free Bird (Demo) The sound on this album is GREAT! Lynyrd Skynyrd are one of the greatest Southern-Rock bands ever, and they let us hear why on their debut album. Pronounced is a really nice cd to listen to when you're a bit tired of listening to heavy music. The three-man axe trio of Lynyrd Skynyrd sounds really good! // 10

Lyrics: The lyrics were really impressive. Robbie Van Zant takes all the emotion out of his heart, forms them into words, writes them down on paper and sings 'em. // 10

Overall Impression: This way no doubt one of the best albums from the 70s. The two songs that really stood out were Tuesday's Gone and Free Bird. If it were stolen, I would call the police. Go to your nearest CD shop and buy this CD. Just do it. // 10
