Nobody really every thinks of combining reggae with a Jewish heritage. It just seems like one of those things if somebody told you about you would just say cool and not really care. Most people would tell you that jewish reggea would sound okay at best. this is so not true this CD is absoultly mind blowing. It has one of those beats that when you hear it chatches your ear and drags you over. Sometimes it does this without you even paying attention. one minute you will be just walking around your house and you hear your brother or sister or somebody listening to it in the other room and before you know it you will be moving to the beat. It is very mellow and relaxing. you could enjoy this music even if you weren't listening to the words or meaning. You would find this very enjoyable if you just let yourself be surrounded by the beautiful sound and relaxe.

This Album has some of the best lyrics I have ever heard. It touches base on several different ideas. These ideas go from A persons faith to fighting wars or even to love. This CD hits almost every aspect possible. Matisyahu is an alright vocalist. His tone and such could be better but the words he uses and the way he strings them together makes an absoultly amazing effect. This man uses his words in such a way that poets and artists alike can only dream of.

"Youth" by far really is an amazing album if you don't already own it then go out and buy it right now. Seriously it is a brilant work of art. Anyone who says they don't even like a single song off this album just a little bit is lying to you because they know your right. On another note if you ever get the chance to listen to "king without a crown" the live at Stubbs edition you really must. That will completly blow your mind away. Matisyahu is really one of a kind.
