Megadeth: Rust in Peace

Sound — 10
Incerdible, this is probably the greatest metal guitar album of all Mustaines rhythm playing is second to none and is a leson in acurate rhythm playing. But be warned it is very difficult, espiecially for beginners. Friedmans soloing is in another league. The man is a virtuoso and songs with solos like Hangar 18 or Tornado of souls and in particular Five Magics cant be ignored. And Mustaine is no slouch either with a fantastic solo in holy wars. This is not stright forward thrashing in the vane of Slayer or Exodus, this is complex stuff almost bordering on Progressive metal at times without the overly elongated songs. Fantastic stuff.

Probably the weakest aspect of the album but none the less very good overall. Only a few real weak songs like Lucretia and Dawn Patrol.

Overall Impression — 10
A fantastic album, up there with Slayers 'Reign in Blood and Metallicas 'Master of Puppets'. Simply one of the greatest thrash albums ever made.
