Take a multi-instrumental musical journey rich in landscapes of guitar styles with a composer and arranger with many influences, a musician of research and exploration. This album touches many genres - Indian, Turkish, and Middle Eastern music in all its variations. Meir gracefully improvises on oriental scales and Jazz, and interweaves diverse rhythms and colors into beautiful and witty melodies.

In this album Meir features the incredible vocalist, Hagit Yaso, who won the Israeli version of "American Idol," and she gives another soulful and heavenly dimension to the beautiful melodies on the album. (Yaso has toured and performed internationally. In January, 2013, she toured in several cities across the US sponsored by Jewish National Fund. The highlight of her tour was a performance at the Saban Theatre in Los Angeles, where she performed a duet of "Killing Me Softly" with the song's writer Charles Fox).
Overall Impression — 10
There are 12 compositions on Way and there are various styles of music that he had brought to the table to get the unique atmosphere that he wanted to create. And he stayed honest to it and track by track, it is an adventure that will take you the listener by surprise from the moment you start listen to this to finish. As Meir describes in his liner notes: "This album is about a searching and self-expression within the endlessness of sounds and musical worlds." In simple words: all styles live peacefully under one roof. In fact, this is the house of Meir Shitrit, and I recommend you enter.
