Metallica: Metallica

Sound — 10
This album has a great sound and a lot of variety, unlike the older Metallica. There are really hard songs (Sad But True), soft songs(Nothing Else Matters), normal hard rock songs (Enter Sandman), and much more, and they all sound awesome. Every song was very unique, they all had kick ass solos, and they all sounded good.

Lyrics — 10
Metallica is one of the best lyric writting bands ever. Almost every song they have ever written has had a deep and powerful meaning, told a story, or just flat out entertained. The lyrics mached the music near perfectly on all tracks on this album, and they're all good. Best of all, this is the first ablum in which James didn't sing like a pre-pubecant pansy-ass 12 year old b--ch.

Overall Impression — 10
Overall, this is my favortie Metallica album. The music and lyrics are all great and unique, and James used a new more powerfull singing style. The best songs on this album to me are sad but true, the unforgiven, and pretty much everything else in a tie. If it were stolen, id buy it again, and if it were lost id search for it till the day I died. The Black Album has sold nearly 16 million copies in the US alone, and there is a reason for that; its the best Metallica album ever, and one of the all time best.
