Metallica: Ride the Lightning

Sound — 10
I'll start off by saying this is my favorite Metallica album. Catchy riffs, as in Ride The Lightning (song), Call of Ktulu and Fight fire with fire. Cool and fast solos as always by the lead guitarist Kirk Hammet, aswell as really good rythm guitar by James Hetfield.

Lyrics — 10
James shows his talent as a singer and lyricist, as in every album. Down and depressive lyrics in Fade to black, death penalty in Ride the lightning. Simply great.

Overall Impression — 10
This is my favorite Metallica album, and there's one reason: Fade to black. This album is good as Master of Puppets or ...And justice for all but it contains my favorite song ever...Fade to black. There's nothing I hate about this album, really. I love every single song, which is rare on CD's these days. I would definitely buy it again, without even thinking. It's a musthave for every metal fans...no wait, for everybody.
