The Misfits' debut full-length, Walk Among Us, rapidly became a legendary effort of US punk, the more so because it so willfully violated many rules which were already ironically straitjacketing the scene.

Sound: This is a fantastic album which ranks equally with any other albums recorded by the Misfits. The Misfits are a great band and this album shows them at their best, with some good guitar riffs and quick bass playing as well as fantastic vocals from Glenn Danzig that would normally not go in well with the songs but they go perfectly. The music is brilliant and fast, mainly the bass and guitar playing fast, but also some of Danzig's vocals. // 9

Lyrics: Glenn Danzig's lyrics are perfect for the music that is produced, perhaps not as disturbing these days as they would have been when the album was released, however they still capture the listener and you want to listen more. Also Danzig's vocals would not seem a match for the music but they mix well, they sound more elvis style rather then punk but it is perfect. // 10

Overall Impression: It is obvious from this album that many bands have been influenced by the Misfits style of playing. My favourite songs on the album are I Turned Into A Martian, Skulls, and Astro Zombies. The only downside about this album is the album and songs are generally too short. With the longest song being only just over 3 minutes and the album only 25. However I still think it is worth buying for the songs that are on it. // 7
