Mudvayne: L.D. 50

Sound — 10
Heavy, melodic, fast and upbeat, great bass tones, good vocals and deep painful lyrics.

Lyrics — 8
To me the lyrics have meaning. They could be in some cases consider "violent"... but who listens to metal that doesn't like violent lyrics to help them express their anger and agression. Chad Gray (vocals) does a good job on the vocals. His screaming is consistent and is dark and shows the agression of the lyrics well.

Overall Impression — 10
Personally, I think its better then their current release (The end of all things to come). It sounds like it took more time and thought to write this album then the current release. My favorite songs on the album are... well, I like all of them. I think it's a great album and its really worth buying if you enjoy the new metal style bands.
