Sound: Neon Horse has an interesting story. None of the members have released their names, and it is self-produced. This means you can't give credit to anyone but the band as a whole for the unique sound. It combines rock with industrial and techno. It kind of sounds like what you'd get if you combined Wolfmother, MSI, and Infected Mushroom. Anybody who likes classic rock and industrial music might want to check this out. // 9

Lyrics: The singer, who according to Tooth And Nail Records was found as a fugitive in a club after one of the band's shows, has a lot talent. However, you sometimes can't hear said talent over all of the voice filters. There are parts where you also can't understand the vocalist. The lyrics are positive, a rare attribute to modern rock albums, that I enjoy more than the average negative crap. // 7

Overall Impression: At 30 minutes with only 12 tracks, that averages out to less than 3 minutes a track. Great for a bunch of singles, but not an album. Neon Horse seems to be more reliant on marketing than the actual music. Too bad Tooth and Nail wanted more record sales, if this was a non-gimmicky album (the members are depicted as cartoon characters like the Gorillaz). It could've been a lot better. The sound is great, but every song, and the album as a whole, is so short that it will get old fast for most people. // 7
