NOFX: Pump Up the Valuum

Sound — 8
The usual NOFX sound, but a bit better. Mikes voice isn't as bad in this album and their are some cool guitar & bass riffs. The songs arent especially catchy but are fun to listen to.

Lyrics — 6
Its the usual split between nonsensical acid trips and reasonable arguments. Dinosaurs will die being a decent angry song about the destruction of the pop music industry, rather than an argument about a republican government, but then songs such as bottles to the ground & theme from a NOFX album rely more on the tune. Whats the matter with parents today and My vagina are comical but not quite funny. Over all a decent balance.

Overall Impression — 8
When the press release for the war on errorism came out the production title was "our second best album". This is arguably the first, its typical NOFX but in the best ever way. The only NOFX album I have considered buying.
