Sound — 10
For this album there is really only one way to describe the sound, it is taken of the back sleve of the case, 'scoarching'. It's true, when you listen to this album you can feel Noels guitar and Liam's rough voice simply heat the room! They play all the classics of course but some how there seems to be a little more heart in them. The originals were good but these songs are like the originals on some sort of drug. Oasis and drugs, now there's two things I never thought I would see in the same sentence.

Lyrics — 6
The lyrics are just what you'd expect. Pure Oasis. How else can you describe them. The words to the songs remain largely the same, with the odd swear word added for some unacountable reason. It seems that as they've grown more confident not only have Oasis beefed up their songs but they have also found the compelling need to add swearing to every sentence that leaves their mouths, which takes away from the magic of the album to me.

Overall Impression — 10
This album brings together all the classic Oasis songs, Live Forever, Supersonic, Wonderwall, Rock 'n' Roll Star the list goes on. It is essentially their greatest hits album. But not like one of those rubbish 'what will make us the most money' type of greatest hits, no, more like 'which songs are best loved by the band and the fans' type of greatest hits. You can feel the passion from the crowd with every cheer and you can feel it from the band with every note. Shame Morning Glory didn't make an appearence. This album was released just after Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants, an album which marked the begining of a new sound for Oasis, as can be heard in Heathen Chemistry, but Familiar To Millions served to remind people everywhere of what Oasis had acheived and that no matter what their music sopunds like the spirit of the two brothers sill live on through it!

oasis are aloways so good live, but this album is bordering on appalling. even noel gallagher himself admits how bad it sounds. besides the first 3 or 4 songs which have great colossal impact and sound, the rest of it just drags on through stagnant over distorted guitars and an ordinary vocal performance from liam. they are always usually really good live, but this was one of their worst sounding gigs.
