Red Hot Chili Peppers: Californication

Sound — 10
The first time I heard the song "Californication" I was addicted. I wanted to learn how to play the riffs especially the solo. Many of the songs I've heard, the bass depends on the guitar, but this is unique. Flea's bass is extraordinarily independent from John's guitar. Its completely different, yet adapts to the tone easily. It also stands out of the crowd, like the "Otherside." The first time I heard it, I thought the song needed two guitars but then figured out that its actually Flea's bass. All in all the sound rocks!

Anthony's skill is just perfect! It's like he makes the lyrics of the verses out of nowhere. He's just flat out great!

Overall Impression — 10
This album is nothing ever before and nothing is going to replace the sound, and the lyrics. If I lost my CD 7 times, Ill buy it 8 times. I like the songs "Otherside," "Californication" and "Porcelain." Its lyrics maybe confusing but when you really put your heart and soul into it. It speaks to you in a very deep and emmontional way.
