I had IOWA and the self titled album wen they came out as I did with Vol 3. It wasn't a great deal of change between IOWA and self-titled, except that IOWA had more to offer. In Vol 3 they hit a new level and are definatly braking some new ground.

Corey taylor is the lyrical master. His lyrics are suttle and meaningful and aren't repetative, this album seemed to have the perfect lyrics for the riffs they went with, Corey Taylor also shows in this album that he isnt just cookie monster vocals. His vocals can blow anyone away, from Vermillion Part 2 to The Blister Exists.

Overall Impression — 10
Lots of people think they have gone downhill, I feel that people that say this just want to jump around and hav a good time, my guess is that most of the people that think this album is shit aren't musicians, because this album has loads to offer and is the best album I have bought next to Mezmerize. If it were stolen or lost I would buy it for sure! I love all this album.
