Sound — 8
The bands music is mainly excellent, but a few songs are a little too heavy for my liking as I cannot understand the lyrics. The album is nu-metal which is not to everybodies taste. If you do like metal then this is a great album to listen to.

Lyrics — 7
The lyrics are difficult to hear in the heavy songs and easy to hear in the acoustic tracks. The lyrics are clever but some are slightly satanic. The lyrics and the music go well together and Corey Taylor the vocalist sings very well.

Overall Impression — 7
This album meets any other metal albums standard and is something different for once. The best songs on the album are 'Vermilion' Parts 1 and 2, 'Before I Forget' and 'Duality'. I love some of the acoustic tracks on the album and dislike songs like 'The Virus Of Life' as there is a lot of shouting and distortion.
