Stereophonics: Live From Dakota

Sound — 10
A mix of new and old the Stereophonics are back after a huge tour promoting their album Language, Sex, Violence, Other? Playing to sellout crowds of 200,000 the Stereophonics had a fantastic year. This new album shows you all the sounds of the Stereophonics from the word gets around album with loud guitars. To Performance and Cocktails. to the atmospheric sound of JEEP. Acoustic work on YGGTTCB. And To Probably their finest work yet Language, Sex, Violence, Other? Their new sound comes through on every track though. Their trashy rock guitar sound, Their quick drum beats and their huge bass sound all come through on this album.

Lyrics — 9
On this live album all sorts of lyrics come through, from tales of a small Welsh town (Cwmmaman) to their new lyrics of fame and fortune. The Lyrics fit well with the sound of the band their newer sound fits with all their work. Kelly Jones has a unique voice and it comes through well on this album. It may not be note perfect but it fits well to create a raw, edgy sound that comes through on this album. The singing is good through the album it sound perfect on top of the loud rock guitars.

Overall Impression — 10
It's a fantastic album better than all the rest because its a combination of all the better tracks on every album. If it were lost or stolen I would definiteley buy it again.
