Sugarcult: Start Static

Sound — 9
Cool guitar and loadsa cool solo parts. I especially like the guitar for 'You're The One' and like the fact that it sounds really good and that it's quite easy so that I learnt to play it without much dificulty. I don't think that there is a particular story to this album, instead it's about being young and finding it easy to lose your way both in relationships and life in general.

Lyrics — 9
All of the songs have great lyrics and it is hard to resist the urge to sing along. The feel of the music matches the feel of the lyrics and I think that Tim Pagnotta is a very tallented vocalist, and is able to sing along with everyone from Elvis Costello to My Chemical Romance.

Overall Impression — 9
I really like this album and would recomend it to all as an alternative to main-stream music. It is also very different to it's follow-up 'Palm Trees And Power Lines'.
