This is a corker! Best album outta the two released last year, absolutley awesome! Mezmerize had a more commercial feel to it, but it was stil good. Most of the bettter tracks are on Hypnotize, and so it had more tracks reminscent of Toxicity. Most tracks have the weird, frenzied craziness SOAD fans have come to love, and rightly so. At times it feels like a concept album, especially the final 3 tracks (which are my favourites) She's Like Heroin, Lonely Day and the defining and epic final track, Soldier Side.

The vocals on this album are very similar to Mezmerize, and some of Toxicity. Serj has less to do with this album, as Daron really begins to show off some frontman skills. His presence is definately obvious. Although neither are the greatest singers in the world, they make up for the fact that they have a lot of presence. The confidence of the two is very apparent. Strange lyrics, but powerful all the same. She's Like Heroin is a great example of the riduculus lyrics that are trademark of SOAD now.

Absolutely mind blowing. Soldier Side is an epic, and some of the other songs are pretty damn good too. Brilliant.
