System of a Down: Toxicity

Sound — 10
Toxicity is the best CD that has came out in the last 10 years. Probably since the Black Album. Toxicity is a very politically charged album but it also has it's funny moments. Every single song on the CD is great, and it's hard to find anything wrong with them. System Of A Down has a unique style, and they are definently the best nu-metal band around. The guitar and all the instruments are stunning.

Lyrics — 10
The lyrics are great. From strong political tracks like Prison Song and Deer Dance, to songs dealing with religion, like Chop Suey! and Forest, and songs that use a lot of metaphors that get you thinking, like Jet Pilot, and even songs with humor, like Bounce. Then there is ATWA and Ariels, with slow melodic lyrics that are beautiful. Every song on the CD has great lyrics, and Serj's low voice fits them all, Daron also helps sing on some of the songs and the harmony of their voices go great together. It also matches the music great.

Overall Impression — 10
Toxicity is definently the best out of the 5 CDs they have out now. It's before their music style changed for Mezmerize and Hypnotize, which were also great.

the self titled is something amazing, i put it at the same level of Toxicity
Dude Daron dont have a shitty voice.....he wrote the lyrics to the hypnotize album thats why he sings so much!So stop putting him down ,yes he's a kick ass guitarist but he can sing to
But yeah i wish he would go back to the old style.(What he used to do like P.L.U.C.K. and Needles)
