Taint: Secrets Lies

This second full length album from Taint is another delicious slab of straight up meat and potoatoes rock music. Having played with the likes of Clutch, Neurosis, Bossk, The Mirimar Disaster, Capricorns, Cult of Luna, ISIS, Kylesa, Baroness this is certainly for fans of great music, with a cheeky slice of metal/prog added to the melting pot of boiling hot musical goodness.

This album is filled with delicious recipes from Jimbob, telling tales more of the medievil nature. Also, the addition of the flute in "What the Crow Saw", is an unexpected tasty treat. With great riffs, vocals, bass hooks and drums, there is something for everyone to devour.

Overall Impression — 10
The bass is as thick and heavy as a sirloin steak, while the guitars cut through the mix like a hot knife gliding through butter. The drums pound away like a mallet tenderising some mince, as the vocals sizzle in the steaming soup of super sludgy goodness. The addition of the flute in "What the Crow Saw", is an unexpected tasty treat. With great riffs, vocals, bass hooks and drums, there is something for everyone to devour. Taint, you've done it again!

apparently if you like your music to be an audible representation of your favourite meals and cooking practices, this is the album for you. In all seriousness though, I will probably check this out. Pretty sure i saw them support wolves in the throne room a few months back.
