Sound: Released recently (not sure the actual date, I received it through a preorder with their site and got it early, & signed) this is the 11th studio album from the Worms. They are a Canadian band, mainly classified as folk, but could also be classified as blues, funk, rock or jazz; they're so diverse. The main band is composed of Chris, Trevor & Mike, and they are kind of accapella, but Mike plays accoustic in most songs and occasionally Chris will pick up a bass. But these guys aren't serious in the least, all their songs are funny, even the most corny of songs. Well now that you know their backstory, to the album: the sound is awesome, from recording in Ontario you can really feel their live vibe through a crystal clear vocal track. Every instrument shines through with the ultimate in clarity, no glitches or bugs or anything; simple 10 here. // 10

Lyrics: The lyrics are great! A ton of funny lines here, some memorable ones in my opinion: "Look out commies, here comes Mike Rambo with his new pressure washer" from the song Pressure Washer. "Sometimes dumb guys can even be your presidents!" from Dumb Guys. "Brian's balls are leaving, say good bye to Brian's Balls" from Brian's Balls (yes, a song about vasectamies). "Irritable bowel syndrome causes both Constipation and Diarrhea" from the song IBS (A really jazzy song). Just some examples. All the vocals are great and in tune with each other, with tons of 3 part harmonies. // 10

Overall Impression: Being their 11th album, I knew this album would be gold just like all their other albums, and I wasn't disappointed. Every song here is a gem, and will probably be played tons upon tons of times live. The lyrics are funny, the musicianship is great and the friendship of the three guys really shines through, you can tell these guys really love working with one another. I strongly recommend this, and all their other albums, to anyone; canadian, american, whatever; if you can get ahold of any of their albums (but especially this one) pick it up! // 10
