Sound — 8
In Thought For Food, Nick Zammuto and Paul De Jong form thier strange interweavings of sound samples and guitar riffs. The combination produced is a amazingly varied sound and message. Never once are the artists vioces heard in the record. The only vioces heard are recorded or ripped form other sources adn patched together to form an interesting and humorous sound.

Lyrics — 8
As most of the lyrics and messsage thereof are contained in sound samples of assorted movies and such it is hard to rate in this category. However, considering how they put together songs the message is resonably clear.

Overall Impression — 8
The Books are a one of a kind band. The wide variation on sounds and music drive this album forward. Though lacking in real sound this album is well presented and well thought out with good hooks and endings. Read, Eat, Sleep is my favorite from this album because of its music and message as the rhythmic song slowly collapses into randomness symbolizing the movemet away from daily routine.
