The Offspring: Splinter

Sound — 10
This album straight up rocks out from start to finish with a couple lighter songs thrown in for fun. It's a little heavier than their other stuff but the guitars match the lyrics extremely well and while I'm not a drummer I would say they sound pretty damned good for it being a new guy playing them.

Lyrics — 10
As usual Dexter get his point across really well. As I said before the lyrics match the music almost seamlessly.

Overall Impression — 10
Splinter ranks up there with Smash and Ixnay. The best song on the album is Race Against Myself with Can't Get My Head Around You a close second. The last song is pointless but hilarious and the hangover song gets annoying after a bit but overall its a great album. If it got stolen I would shoot the motherf--cker who stole it then buy a new one right away. This album is definantly worth the money and is a must for all punk rock fans.
