Inspired by events where my brother (Guy Kozowyk's brother), who is a prison guard, walks in on an inmate doing something ridiculous in his cell. The prisoner won't talk and gets into this dialogue via a notepad. After documenting that he can no longer talk because the devil removed his tongue, my brother checks the cons mouth with his flashlight. When he tells him that his tongue is definitely intact, the inmate replies with the cryptic message "Pray for Eyes" First things first, these guys are freaking crazy. The members of the band include Guy Kozowyk and his insane, deep brutal screaming vocals, Mike "Gunface" McKenzie and his technical, and lets not forget heavy guitar riffs, Greg Weeks and his complex guitar backing bass riffs, and Brad Fickeisin and his insane blast beats. These four together create a very diverse and very interesting sound. This album is very well produced which adds to how great this album is.

The lyrical theme throughout this album is based of the "Pray for Eyes" message. It features Nate Newton of Converge and Jonny Davy from Job For A Cowboy, who contribute vocals on two songs apiece. The Red Chord always like to insert an odd line in a few songs such as "Mr.Dick? Why do you still have an erection." heard in Responsibilities. Great lyrics and vocals as always from TRC.

Prey for Eyes is a great follow-up to Clients. My favorite songs are "Send the Death Storm", "Pray for Eyes", "It Came From Over There" and "Bone Needle". "It Came From There" is a very unique and an interesting instrumental. It shows how unique The Red Chord can be by experimenting with their songs. This truly is a great album in the Death Metal/Grindcore genre. I recommend this to anyone that are fans of Nile, Job For a Cowboy, Cannibal Corpse and other similar bands. If this were lost or stolen I would definitely buy this album again and you should too!
