The Rolling Stones: A Bigger Bang

Sound — 10
This is a return back to the Stones of the '70s - hard rock, blues, funk, you name it. Crunchy guitars and thunderous drums. Every instrument can be heard clearly in the mix and everything sounds perfect.

Lyrics — 10
Mick Jagger once again delivers a winner. I have always considered him to be a great rock lyric writer and this album is no exception. Everything from heartfelt lyrics to raunchy lyrics. In the tune 'Rough Justice' he sings "Once upon a time you were my little rooster, but am I just one of your cocks?"

Overall Impression — 10
This is a true return to form after mediocre albums in the '80s and '90s. People are gonna love this one, it's The Stones that you know and love. And don't worry about the guitars, they are more dominant than they have been in a while.
