With the release of their third album, Genuine Sense of Outrage, The Warriors are bringing back what has been forgotten by the hardcore family, anger. The Warriors have perfected their blend of hardcore, thrash, and hip-hop into this thirteen track masterpiece that will, to say the least, move your body. The maturation and more refined sound of this band is evident to the listener. Also, the addition of second guitarist, Charlie Alverez, has stepped up the intensity of The Warriors new darker, harsher sound.

The lyrics and vocals are in no way that of your run-of-the-mill hardcore band. Vocalist Marshall Lichtenwaldt has stepped up to meet the album's demands with a mix of angry screams and solid rapping. Unlike most hardcore bands today, Marshall's screams are fairly understandable and clear. The lyrics are passionate and clever with a clear sense of frustration and rage in them. The Warriors incorporate everything possible to get their message through, including allusion to the medieval play, Cenodoxus.
Overall Impression — 9
The only downfall to this album is the brevity of each track with the tracks averaging out to two and a half minutes each. This is no reason to pass this amazing album up, though. If you're already a fan of hardcore, this is without a doubt the album for you. If you're new to this style, this might just be the album to usher you into a whole new genre of music.
