The White Stripes: Elephant

Sound — 10
At first thought you would think the idea of 2 people making a album better than most of todays 5-6 member bands is pretty sketchy, yet The White Stripes do just that. Take "Balck Math" for example ya the song uses alot of powerchords but the song is a masterpcie in its own right the lyrics make you sit and think about them, the main riff is one of the catchyist of the year and the solo in it is astonishing, but its the fact that The White Stripes have so much heart and soul poured into every single song on the album (not Just Black Math) that makes this band shine, and shine brightly at that.

Can you think of anyone who can say Be like the squrril girl" and ound cool and convincing? I can. Jack White. Jack writes his soul into everysong giving the album a depth practicly unmatched by any other band. Some standouts are the whole album. Yes people its true, Jack White may be the best darn writer in the world, and he proves it on this album.

Overall Impression — 10
It's rare I give any album all 5s, but The White Stripes desrve it, for there hard work, devotion, and the amount of heart they put in to maikng this album, you can almost feel the chemsitry bettween Jack and Meg ecording in the studio, it's brilliant.
