The White Stripes: Get Behind Me Satan

Sound — 10
I have never before heard the White Stripes show this kind of virtuosity in playing. The songs are so tight sounding with subtle pianos in the background or bass lines that double main pianos, truly ingenious.

Lyrics — 8
The lyrics on Get Behind Me Satan are far to straight forward for my liking, but on songs like Red Rain and Blue Orchid the music and lyrics blend so well it dosent even matter. This is the simpilist CD the White Stripes have created yet lyrically.

Overall Impression — 10
I like the overall direction the Stripes are going, but they seem to be loosing some of the lyrical genious that they once had. Overall this is another awesome by the Stripes. I can't wait for their next one.
