The White Stripes: Get Behind Me Satan

Sound — 10
The White Stripes' music on this album is very raw and simple. They don't complicate their sound, and always sound as though their songs just come naturally to them. I think their music would fit into the catergory of alternative pop rock. The instruments they use are electric guitar, acoustic guitar, drums, piano, triangle, bells, marimba, tambourine and vocals. My favourite songs musically are 'Blue Orchid' and 'Red Rain' (I love the triangle on it).

Lyrics — 10
My favourite songs lyrically are 'I'm Lonley (But I Aint That Lonley Yet),' 'Red Rain' and 'Blue Orchid'. Jack's voice goes well with the music, and the lyrics fit the songs perfectly.

Overall Impression — 10
My favourite songs off Get Behind Me Satan are 'Blue Orchid,' 'Red Rain' and 'My Doorbell.' I cannot compare this album to any other, because it is unlike any band that I have heard before, and I also do not own copies of their previous albums.
