For all its bombast and sledgehammer brutality, Haymaker is simply smarter and better constructed than most of 2003's metalcore CDs.

Sound: Sound is great. This is an incredible album, and the sound is one of the key factors. This CD contains Dave (vocals) Tommy Love (guitar) Keith (guitar) and Dominic (bass). I'm not sure if they had a permanent drummer at the time. // 10

Lyrics: Lyrics, as always with Throwdown, are awesome. All positive hard hitting lyrics, and probably the most straight edge songs on any of there albums. I love Daves voice on this album, it brutal which goes perfectly with the guitar riffs and breakdowns. // 10

Overall Impression: Throwdown is my favorite hardcore band, and nobody stands close to these dudes not only music wise, but experience wise. The best songs are, Never Back Down, Walk Away, Forever, Hopeless, False Idols, Only Thing, and Drug Free, which is pretty much all of them. I love the fact that these guys know how to mix positive with brtality. Compared to there other albums, it's probably better then Vendetta, and maybe not as good as You Don't Have To Be Blood. // 10
