Trivium: Ascendancy

Sound — 10
This is the first real metal album in my collection, and I think it's a really good first one to get me really into the whole metal scene. The riffs are mind blowing, the drums are fast and loud (and that's how I like it), the solos really make you want to headbang. I don't have anything wrong with this album at all.

The singer does a really good job of "balancing" between screaming and singing. He does amazing at both of those too. These lyrics go right along with the song, and the mood of the song.

Overall Impression — 10
Like I said before, this is my real metal album, and I hope that every metal band has at least one thing in common with this band, and with that alone they'll be a great band. I have no complaints with this at all. If I ever got this CD stolen from me, I'd have to find the motherf--ker who took it from me, rip his throat out, and then take back my CD. Keep up the good work guys!
