Sound — 10
The sounds is excellent. The crew did an excellent job with still letting the crowd be heard with out it overpowering the band. In some live concert you can't even hear the audience. In slane, the crowd is clearly heard and really makes you feel a part of it.
Content — 10
The DVD is full of some of the best hits. U2 plays almost all of their classics including some of their songs from the elevation tour. Songs such as "All I Want Is You" and "Where The Streets Have No Name" are superb. Also some old hits such as "Out Of Control" are played. It is possibly the best song lineup out of all of their dvds. Also included is a bonus track of "Mysterious Ways" where Bono's daughter comes onstage to dance with him and the "Unforgettable fire documentary from slane in 1984." Some screensavers and a calendar are also included.
Production Quality — 9
The production crew did a fantastic job of showing the bands interaction with the crowd. At some points in the concert you actually feel as if you are there. The picture quality is not as clear and clean as Vertigo in Chicago but is still very good. In "Streets" the filming from inside the crowd really puts you in the show.
Overall Impression — 10
I currently own every live DVD produced by U2 including a concert that was filmed in Brazil during the Verigo '06 leg of the tour and this is by far my favorite concert. The crowd is song energetic and sings a long with every song. There is no really downsides what so ever from the dvd. If there was one thing it would be the "I stil haven't found what I'm looking for" is not on it. Other than that I love it. If this was ever scratched, stolen, lost, etc. I would not even think twice about buying another copy. I would spend 50 bucks on it. it's simply amazing.
