Viraemia: Viraemia

Sound — 9
Viraemia is a recent band of Technical Death Metal/Brutal Death Metal. Formed in 2008, his first debut EP is called "Viraemia" was made in 2009 and consists of five songs. Currently, the band is active and has no label. Starting with the sound, is the highlight of the EP, the guitars are frantic, using the tapping, the bass guitar is abnormal, perfecting the technical genre, the battery is overwhelming, fast and sensational, the voice is excellent in general, mixing screams and growl. In "Necrotizing Fasciitis", you can hear the singer make pigsqueal. For a group recently made its debut as well as groups such as Brain Drill. The sound is simply outstanding, the recording is simply perfect.

Lyrics — 7
The lyrics speaks almost always pathological diseases, the band has the name of a medical condition when a virus enters the bloodstream and attacks the human. The singer's voice is not easy to understand, but compared to other bands, it's easy. The voice changes are constant in the singer, and he knows how to do it, does not carry almost any failure. They called themselves as Pathological Death Metal by the sudden use of tapping on the guitar and the lyrics.

Overall Impression — 8
For a group that has emerged recently, and we do not know much about them, made his debut as well as groups such as Brain Drill. The overall impression of the songs is excellent, they all have something special, and all very playable. One of the best songs on the EP is "Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation", beginning with bass guitar tapping abnormal. "Necrotizing Fasciitis", as I said before, has a long part where the vocalist does Pigsqueal. The best of this EP, it is very different compared to other Technical Death Metal albums, use more tapping on guitars, and songs are very original. The worst thing that can be found on the EP, is the length of their songs, some very short, and having only five songs (but forgiving, since it is an EP). In general, "Viraemia" is an outstanding EP. Responding to the question of UG, if you buy the EP, and stolen, you must buy it again, it's a cheap and besides EP overwhelming quality. If Viraemia follows this path, get far...

Yeah, Agreeing with pollopitres, this is a very technical EP. And yes, lots of Death metal is brutal, but it depends what kind of death you're looking at here... Technical death metal isn't really brutal... It's (duh, lol) more technical and melodic than anything else. Bands like Cannibal corpse, Skinless, Aborted, etc are considered brutal death metal. Usually, it's based on the lyrical content, lol. For instance, a death metal song about a disease is much less brutal than a death metal song about a person being slowly tortured and then cannibalised over a meatgrinder while still alive. So, Loki_37, only some death metal is brutal haha there are thousands of genres within the genres.
