The Mollusk is an aquatic adventure through an underwater wonderland. Each song is filled with water-themed parts, as well as the new, "soothing" vocals of Gene Ween. Songs like "Polka Dot Tail" and "Buckingham Green" display Dean Ween's guitar skills very well. Easily the band's most unique and artistic album, musically speaking.

The sea-shanty lyrics may not be entirely original or impressive, but they all fit incredibly well with each song. Each song paints a vivid picture in your head, and this great picture is only further cemented by the H20-based lyrics. Take "The Mollusk" and "Mutilated Lips" for a reference point.
Overall Impression — 10
The Mollusk is an excellent addition to anyone looking for a new listen that won't dissappoint. The songs "Buckingham Green", "Mutilated Lips", and "Ocean Man" (the song that oddly enough appeared on the Spongebob Squarepants Movie soundtrack) are easily the album's defining moments. While easily one of Ween's most accessible outputs, The Mollusk never disappoints, and remains one of, if not, the band's defining moment.
