Weezer: Make Believe

Sound — 8
Weezer had a great change in their style for this album, which is off-putting at first, but to any fan of the band, the music grows on you. The catchy tunes of songs like "My Best Friend," the retro styling of "This Is Such A Pity," and the general pop-ish quality (in comparison to the previous albums) just go to show the musical talent of the band. I didn't like the album at first, but it will definitely grow on you.

The lyrics are as random and weird as Rivers always makes them. A lot of emotion is in the songs like "Perfect Situation," which make this CD great to sing along with.

Overall Impression — 8
Though I personally am a big fan of weezer, this album as a whole does not compare to the emotion of pinkerton or the musicality of Blue or Maladroit. There are a few songs on here that stick out a lot that can easily get stuck in your head. I would recommend any one to buy it.
