Wheatus: Wheatus

Overall Impression — 8
There was a lot of Hype about Wheatus's Debut Album, entitled "Wheatus". From the release of their Debut Single "Teenage Dirtbag" in February 2001 in the UK, fans were expecting much of the same Pop-Rock songs on the album. And that's what was delivered. The Tracks "Teenage Dirtbag", "Leroy" and "Punk Ass Bitch" made the album a success each with catchy chorus, that you would still be humming for months. Other Tracks included: "A Little Respect", "Truffles", "Sunshine" and "Wannabe Gangster". Some songs on the album, such as "Wannabe Gangster" was a drone fest and made me want to press the skip button on my Stereo. A very good debut album, just let down by a few bland songs!
