The sound of these five songs all together can be described as fresh, original, addictive, catchy, along with some other adjectives. In each song you can notice what one can notice in any Yellowcard song, the maximum use of every instruments, the nicely played guitar and bass riffs, exceptional percussion, vocal talent and the inspiring violin, all these matched with perfect lyrics creating a unique melody in every song. If you want to know what Yellowcard sounds like, this album is what you need. The Underdog EP stands for Yellowcard's sound at a five star rate and represents where they come from.

Lyrics — 10
Simple lyrics, but so very effective. Witch each song you can tell the ability that Ryan Key and the rest of the band has to write great songs. In this record you'll find friendship lyrics, epic lyrics, mellow lyrics, self esteem lyrics and more. Overall, the lyrics suit every song perfectly.

Overall Impression — 9
This is seriously one of Yellowcard's best achievement, only five songs can be enough to listen to this band at their very best. If you've never heard of Yellowcard, or what you've heard isn't really good for you, get this EP, you will get amazing music that you'll be singing along to for weeks. For a little taste, listen to the song "Underdog" and you will find everything you want in a song, plus great violin lines.

Underdog is one of their best ever songs, i wasn't really a fan of any of the other four, still a big fan of the band though, i have every CD reviewed on this site. Can't decide my fav.
